Dr. S. C. Lind,
University of Minnesota,
Minneapolis, Minn.
Dear Dr. Lind:
We wired you yesterday to the effect that
the LaPorte case was called for November 26th, and requested
your presence on December 3rd. We estimate it will take Mon-
day, Tuesday and Wednesday of the week of November 26th for
the plaintiff to put in their case. Thursday, being Thanks-
giving, is a holiday, and Friday is the Court's motion day.
Therefore, our case will not be taken up again after the 28th,
until Monday, December 3rd.
We expect to start our side of the case that
morning, and it is possible that are would like to have a con-
ference with you Sunday Evening, prior to the trial, if it
would be c avenient for you to arrange to be here that early.
We will advise you more specifically on this point a little
later. Our present feeling is that there is little or no
question but what the date set will be adhered to, and that
the case will be tried at that time.
