COUNSELLOR AT LAW
11 Commerce St.,
Newark, N°J°
May 31, 1935.
United States Radium Corp.
535 Pearl St.,
New York City.
Attention: Mr. C. B. Lee
RE: Weber V. U. S. Radium Corp.
Dear Mr. Lee:-
I have been retained by Mr. HaroldJ. Weber
and Harry W. Sherman, his attorney, to handle claims for
damages arising from the death of his wife, a former employee
of the United States Radium Corporation. She was employed under
the name Louie C. Hanle for a period of about two years, which
began, I believe, in or about 1919.
I am writing to you because I do not know the
present position of the insurance companies in connection with
their further representation of your company, and so I have thought
it best to communicate with you instead of Mr. Markley or Mr. Smith.
I would be glad to hear further from you with respect to the atti-
tude of your company in this particular case.
Dr. Martland performed an autopsy on February 22nd,1935,
four days after Mrs. Weber's death, and found that she had radium
possoning resulting in sarcoma.
With kindest personal regards, I remain,
Very truly yours,
(Signed)
WED
LEONARD J. HAMERGLICK
