The defendant employed the decedent in the year 1918 and for about yeara theroafter, in the ordinary of its business, to work at the pregaration of a substance containing some or all of the radio aetive materials above mentioned, and in the actual application thereof to the diala and handa of untches and clocks, at the plant mintained by the defendent in Orenge, New Jersey. 8. The defendant negligently and carelessly, and dospite its knowledge, actual and constructive, as to the dengerous and injurious nature of these redioactive materials to buan tianies, ao conducted its business and 80 caused the decedent to caryy on hor work, 85 to cause her to ingest and inhale large quantities of soltd end gascous redioactive sub- stences contained in and given off from the material with shich she worked, and likevise omitted and failed to aupply hex with reasonably adequate and saíe toola, appliances, nethoda and working conditions for aurrying on her work, and on the contrary emand her to propacute the same with unnafe, dengorous and inadequato tools, appliances, nothois and vorking conditions, and likewiso omitted and failed to vazn hor or apprise her of unusal risks attend- ing har employment know to it and to its knowledge not patent and obsecvable to the decedent end of shich the decedent was wholly ignorent,and likevise onitted and failed to her or apprise her of the dengerous nature of the redioactive materials with which she was working, and of which she was wholly ignorant, and otherwise negliguatly and carelossly used and employed the redionetive naterials above sentioned in and about its pince of business. 9. As the proximate result of the negligence and carsless neas of the sets and omissions of the defondant stated in the preceding paza graph, rediosetive naterials wore thus ingested and inheled into the body of the docedent and became in parts lodged and fixed in various organs and 10, The anture of the several substances fixed and deposited in the body of the plaintiers decedent is auch that they contimue to reasia potent and active for many years and produce by their inherent netural
