Feb. 26, 1937. Dr. G. Failla, Memorial Hospital, Central Park West at 106th St., New York City. Dear Dr. Failla: I have your letter of February 16th and am ashamed to admit that to date I have not found the opportunity to pre- pare the free omanating compound as we have discussed. However, my intentions are still the best, and 1 hope that within the next few weeks I shall be able to find time to do this work. In the meantime, I am gled to herewith enclose memo- randum to the effect that we have in our possession two preparations containing 11.85 milligrams of radium element. 1 was very much surprised and shocked to hear of the death of your wife, and in this connection please be assured that you have my very kindest sympathy, as I well realize what this loss means to you and the difficulty you will experience in re- adjusting yourself to the vicissitudes of life without the aid and assistance of one who was as close and helpful to you as I under- stand your wife was. However, & part 05 life seems to bs our in bility to overcome losses and disappointments which, at the moment, seems impossible, but which, with the passing of time we find that these disappointments or losses are in part compensated by other interests which we are able to pick up. With my very kindest regards, I am, Sincerely yours, HHBarker:DK
