Dear Barker:
The item which is of the greatest importance is not
brought out properly in the draft of the minutes of the October
8th meeting. The point we want to bring out quite definitely is
that the unforeseen and unexpected business was in that par-
ticular portion of the year 1937 represented by the months of
June, July, August and September. The purpose in view is:
lost by merely stating it generally with reference to the year
1937.
I have made some hasty notes on your draft which
I am returning herewith for such use as it may be.
