Dear Mr. Lee:
I regret to learn from your letter of March 31
that Barker is failing so rapidly. I will be in New York
for a day or two at the end of this month. I am sailing
for Italy on April 30 to attend the International Congress
of Chemistry in Rome the middle of May. I hope to be able
to drop in to see him if he is able to see visitors at
that time.
I hope Mr. Wallhausen will be satisfactory for
you. While Copeland has had perhaps a broader and more
basic training, Wallhausen has had more actual experience
in the things you will want him to do and no doubt he will
meet your needs.
Sincerely yours,
s.B.Lind
