WASHINGTON, D. C.
19 November 1938
My dear Mr. Lee:
I have been thinking over your 11 November
1938 letter for some time and am fully in accord with
the opinions you express.
It is obvious that the instrument used in
the survey of your plant is very delicate and it should
be equally obvious that considerable training would be
required to qualify a man to handle such an instrument.
I hope to have the pleasure of being in your
plant again before we start our application of radium
paint. I am convinced that you are doing a splendid
job and if we do what you have already done and per-
haps add a few refinements we should have no difficulty.
The refinements mentioned have reference to a floor
which should be less easily contaminated in event of
accident.
Very truly yours,
C.S. Stephenson,
Commander (MC), U.S. Navy.
In Charge, Div. of Preventive Medicine.
Mr. C. B. Lee,
U.S. Radium Corporation,
