United States Radium Corporation
535 Pearl Street
New York City
Dear Mr. Lee:
May I bother you for one more piece of information? What is
the present gost of radium?
price
There are two factors which I thought might tend to raise it.
First, the agreement, which I understand, has been reached between
the Belgian and the Canadian Companies as to sales, territory, and
possibly price. Any information which you can give me as to that
agreement will be appreciated. Second, your statements about the
increased use on airplane dials and the higher grade requirements
made me wonder whether this increased demand would tend to raise
the cost. On the other hand, the sale of radium for therapeutic
purposes in Europe, at least, will probably come to a standstill
during the war which would have a tendency in the opposite direction.
If you do not mind dropping me a line about the price which you
have to pay at present and whether you expect any change in that
when your contracts (if any) have run out, I would appreciate it.
Very sincerely yours,
S. 6. Lind
