MEMORIAL HOSPITAL APR 23 1945 APR INCORPORATED 1884 ARCHIBALD DOUGLAS YORK AVENUE AT 68TH STREET AFFILIATED WITH CHAIRMAN, BOARD OF MANAGERS NEW YORK. N. Y. CORNELL UNIVERSITY HARRY PELHAM ROBBINS PRESIDENT MEDICAL COLLEGE TELEPHONE: REGENT 4-5500 JAMES T. LEE VICE-PRESIDENT DOUGLAS RESEARCH H. MORTON MERRIMAN LABORATORIES SECRETARY EDWARD C. DELAFIELD HUNTINGTON FUND FOR TREASURER CANCER RESEARCH REGINALD G. COOMBE CHAIRMAN, EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE GEORGE F. HOLMES CORNELIUS P. RHOADS, M.D. April 20, 1945 SUPERINTENDENT DIRECTOR Mr. C. B. Lee United States Radium Corporation 535 Pearl Street New York, N.Y. Dear Mr. Lee: I have just seen Mrs. Albina Larice again. She is definitely considerably more crippled than when she was last here, has greated difficulty in getting about, and for the past year has been increasingly subject to spells of faintness, probably due to her high blood ressure. I would recommend that she be compensated for employ- ing a house worker. This would seem to be quite in order. Also, her present special corset is wearing out, and I would recommend that she be allowed to get another new one. I have told Mr. Larice to bill you for his loss of a day's wages, gasoline, etc., as expenses of bringing his wife here. I have suggested that she return in about six months. Very L.HCuon sincerely, Lloyd F. Craver, M.D. LFC:ms
