Dr. S. C. Lind,
School of Chemistry,
University of Minnesota,
Minneapolis, Minn.
Dear Dr. Lind:
During a conference held with our lawyers yesterday
afternoon, it was definitely decided to proceed with preparations
for trial. All possibility of settling the pending suits seems
to be out of the question.
As previously arranged we shall expect you to be
available to testify March 13th. I am asking Drs. Schlundt and
Moore to be available on March 12th and 13th, and if it is convenient
for you we would be glad to have you available on Wednesday as well
as Thursday. However, we appreciate that your program may be so
arranged at this time that you cannot spare but the one day, and if
such is the case please be assured that we will prepare our program
to confirm with yours.
The case starting March 10th, will be tried in Judge
Mountain's court in the Hall of Records at Newark. The Hall of
Records is located at the corner of High and 13th Sts., Newark. In
case you arrive in town and are not able to communicate with our
offices (Worth 6266) you had best proceed immediately to the Court in
Newark. Take the Hudson & Manhattan Tube at either 33rd St., or the
Hudson Terminal Bldg., down town New York for Newark, N.J. If you
take the Tube at 33rd St., it will be necessary for you to change
trains at Journal Square - that is from 33rd St., you should take a
Journal Square train and transfer at Journal Square to 8. Newark train
which starts from Hudson Terminal Bldg.
Upon arrival at Park Place
in Newark, take a taxi to the Hall of Records at the corner of 13th and
High Streets, and as I recall it Judge Mountain's court is on the
4th floor.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
