the proving ground,Viking 7 Rocket (48ft.long,
weighing 51 tons) was launched with motion picture camera in
its
side
--it reached top speed of 4100 MPH and rose 135 Miles--hence,it
is
nec
essary to lean to side to get proper perspective from these pictures
since they were taken from the SIDE of the rocket--portion of earth
shown in this film has distorted curvature caused by special type lens
used for testing purposes--spinning is caused by rotation of the
roc-
ket--in a complete rotation or the rocket, 24 states are shown on the
horizon
