munications Dugout,Squadron Commander J.S. Evans of
March 1942-
St.Paul,Minnesota who is a First Lt.of Air Corps and Sgt.John Ryan of
New York city--phone rings, Sgt answers ,takes message presses alarm
bell--Lt.Evans leaves with message--cu warning bell--ls crew chief
start engine, men remove camouflage, get plane ready for takeoff--cu crew
chief start engine--pilots' room,men play cards,talk,etc--Lt.enters and
they all exit--ms plene,engine turning over,pilot comes to cockpit and
crew chiefs buckle him in--cu buckling pilot In--taxi for takeoff-
couple of takeoffs-clanes in air, ,sev.shoc--plane in air coming In-
planes passing overhead group of the 73rd Pursuit Squadron- e
