air refuelling of the F.84 Thunderjets to make trip possible--CCENES:
!handerjets of the 31st Fighter Escort l'ing lined up at a base enroute
to Japan during history-making flite--Col.David Schilling of Kansas
City (on left)commands the flight--with extra fuel tanks,jets start a
leg of flite during which they'11 rendezvous with B-29 tankers for mid
air transfer of fue1--B-29 tankers, loaded with avaation gas and equipp
with flying boom for contact and refueling, take off from their base
for the aerial neet--enroute,flying tanker fleet flies in
