While I will defer to Lynn Cutler on Indian Country, you should know that
based on my two Roundtable discussions with elected officials in
Albuquerque and Santa Fe last Friday, there is a considerable amount of
annimosity currently being directed at the Pueblos regarding gaming issues
by many local and state elected officials. A new Indian Gaming compact is
being negotiated now and is likely to be voted upon by the State
Legislature in a special session later this month.
