Lynn,
thanks for the email. The Indian country issues are on our radar screen
as always, but this year will be much more difficult than last. What
would be most helpful to me and Jack who will be watching literally
hundreds of issues is to make sure that Elgie is kept abreast of his
issues and Dan M of his. We are happy to receive CC'S of any emails on
this issue, but making sure they are aware is extremely important.
On the idea of a SAP. That is for specific bills, however. I think that
we should explore the question of a letter.
Chuck and Martha (for when you return from vaca) what do you think of the
idea of a letter on this issue? Who would it be to? Will it create other
problems e.g. we don't do speciality letters, because it takes away from
our ability to focus on the job at hand trying to get Indian country and
others their money. Please let us know your thoughts.
