1-
Dear 2-:
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a personal
invitation for you to attend the President's unveiling of his
Climate Change Action Plan. The ceremony will be held in the
East Room of the White House residence at 12:00 noon ????? on
Tuesday, October 19, 1993.
As you know, President Clinton and I are committed to the
preservation of our global environment in a way that leads to
strong and sustainable economic growth. In his Earth Day
Address, the President announced this Administration's intention
to return U.S. greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by the
year 2000. President Clinton will be announcing his Climate
Change Action Plan to accomplish his goals as outlined on Earth
Day in April.
Please have someone from your office contact Mr. Trey
Lindseth or Ms. Jennifer Colamonico on my staff by noon on
Friday, October 15 with your social security number and date of
birth. You will need to plan on arriving at the gate on the
Northeastern corner of the White House grounds with picture
identification by ?????? a.m. for the announcement on Tuesday.
I hope you will be able to join us at the ceremony, and I
look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Kathleen A. McGinty
Director, White House Office on
Environmental Policy
