The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the current status of environmental accounting initiatives at the U.N., World Bank, in the U.S., and in other nations, and to determine whether there are opportunities for Congress to facilitate movement toward incorporating natural resources and other environmental criteria into national income accounting systems.
