12 SEC. 101. AUTHORITIES OF DEPARTMENTAL OFFICE OF MI-

NORITY HEALTH.

(a) IN GENERAL.-Title XVII of the Public Health
15 Service Act (42 U.S.C. 300u et seq.)) is amended by in-
16 serting after section 1707 the following new section:
17
"MINORITY HEALTH AND USE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS
18
"SEC. 1707A (a) IN GENERAL.-
19
"(1) INTERAGENCY COORDINATION-With re-
20
spect to activities of the Public Health Service that
21
are directed toward minority health concerns regard-
22
ing tobacco products, the Secretary shall plan, co-
23
ordinate, and evaluate all activities conducted or
24
supported by the agencies of the Service (other than
25
the regulation of tobacco products through the Food
26
and Drug Administration), including activities relat-
