Survey of Kentucky Tobacco Farmers
Matt Myers asked me to send you the attached material from a recent survey we conducted
with 400 Kentucky tobacco farmers. I have included a brief summary of the key findings,
along with a an annotated questionnaire that displays all of the results. The survey provides
a glimpse of the uncertainty that the farmers feel about their future, as well as some of their
concerns as they consider a potential buyout.
I hope the findings will be useful as the President visits Kentucky on Thursday. Please feel
free to give me a call should you have any questions about the survey.
