Subject: comments on FNS accomplishments
Attached are my comments on the FNS accomplishments piece - nothing too major.
I will point out that based on conversations I had with FNS while reviewing the NECP Reg Impact
Analysis, it is my understanding that they have revised their estimate of the number of immigrants who
benefited from the Ag Research restorations. The number they estimate as benefiting from the restoration
is now 175,000, rather than the 225,000 cited in documents at the time of the bill's passage. The reason
for the drop is that fewer immigrants are income eligible for food stamps due to the economy.
