The Education Center
113 E. Van Buren
Naperville, IL 60540
Dear Dr. Litow:
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the time and effort you have spent on behalf of
my son Jim.
At a time when I had exhausted all resources known to both me and the school, I was fortunate
enough to hear about The Education Center. As was usually the case, I had to force Jim to see
you that first time, however, on the way home from that appointment he begrudgingly informed
me that he would be coming to see you every Wednesday. I could hardly believe my ears and
was afraid to get my hopes up that maybe I had finally found Jim the help he needed.
Thankfully, within 4 to 5 weeks there was a noticeable difference in Jim's behavior-no more
talk about quitting school, better grades, positive, instead of negative, calls from teachers and
best of all, I was no longer getting my dreaded call from the dean each week.
Even though Jim was doing much better, he did have the unfortunate experience of attending an
underage party and being arrested. Upon hearing this, you immediately made contact with the
Naperville Police and his probation officer to insure Jim's best welfare was being considered.
When Jim was ultimately placed on a 3 month "unofficial" probation and advised he could not
get into any more trouble, you were instrumental in getting him his first job so that he would be
able to occupy his time in a better manner.
It is now 3 years later and Jim will be 18 this summer. He has not been in any more trouble and
I am now in the enviable position of discussing college with a son that I thought was surely
destined to be a high school drop out. If it were not for your help and ongoing support of Jim
and his efforts, I'm sure that life would have taken a downhill turn for Jim. 1 truly believe that at a
time when Jim was at a crossroads in his life, you ultimately saved him from taking the wrong
path. I want to thank you for all your time and effort on behalf of my son.
Thank you,
Cathy
