COMMENTS: Per our discussion, I've attached information on our recent outreach activities.
To summarize the information I gave you over the phone, last year's field outreach budget was
about $190,000; this year we expect it to be in the $300,000 range. Also, looking at the racial
breakdown of the pregnancy discrimination claims that have been filed with us over the past five
years, about 20% have been filed by Blacks, 68% by whites, 1.4% by Asians, .5% by American
Indians, and about 8.5% by Hispanics. All of these numbers are approximate; we do not have
racial information on about 17% of these charges.
I look forward to continuing these extremely interesting, important and challenging discussions.
