Re: Charlie Sheen/Extra
Dear Mr. Nuell:
Our office is litigation counsel for Charlie Sheen and I am
writing with reference to a segment and interview that is scheduled
to be telecast on your television program. In connection with the
interview, your senior correspondent, Ben Patrick Johnson,
accompanied my client to the White House this past Sunday. We have
been informed that you intend to telecast portions of the
videotaping that was done at the White House notwithstanding the
fact that you had never obtained any consent for such videotaping
from the White House. It was my client's understanding that your
reporter had obtained permission from the White House to do the
videotaping of my client at the White House. We have since been
informed that you did not obtain any permission or consent from the
White House for the videotaping of my client and any other
individuals at the White House. Had my client known that you had
not obtained the consent he would not have agreed to have been
videotaped by your reporter at the White House.
As a result of your failure to obtain any consent from the
White House, my client does not consent to the use of the videotape
taken of him or anyone else at the White House. Your videotaping
was done under false pretenses and my client does not authorize you
to telecast any portion of the videotape taken at the White House
in your television program or on any other media. To the extent
you do so, then you will be violating my client's right of
publicity and also be engaging in the unauthorized commercial
exploitation of my client's name, photograph and likeness which is
in violation under California law.

We have also been informed that the White House and Mrs.
Clinton's office have informed you that you have no authority to
telecast: or exploit any of the videotaping taken at the White House
on your television program or in any other media. Accordingly,
since you did not obtain anyone's consent you would also be
violating the right of privacy of all other individuals that appear
in the videotaping at the White House. We have also been informed
that it may be unlawful for you to have videotaped in the White
House for commercial purposes without obtaining the prior consent
from the White House.
In view of the foregoing, we are hereby demanding that you do
not utilize any videotape by your reporter at the White House. If
you fail to do so, then you will be exposing yourself and all
others acting in concert with you to substantial liability. If you
refuse to comply with this request then you will be doing so at
your own peril.
I trust that you will act accordingly.
Nothing contained herein is intended as, nor should it be
deemed to constitute, a waiver or relinquishment of any of my

which are hereby expressly reserved.

Re: Hillary Clinton
Dear Mr. Lattimore:
THE SHADOW CONSPIRACY is a full length feature film in production for CINERGI, and will be
distributed worldwide by HOLLYWOOD PICTURES. The picture will star Charlie Sheen, Linda
Hamilton, and Donald Sutherland and will be directed by George Cosmatos, who also did
TOMBSTONE. Other pictures also produced by CINERGI are MEDICINE MAN, COLOR OF
NIGHT, RENAISSANCE MAN, DIE HARD III, and the forthcoming JUDGE DREDD, and
SCARLET LETTER
In brief, the story of THE SHADOW CONSPIRACY involves the tale of Charlie Sheen's
character, Bobby Bishop, a special advisor to the President of the United States, who is thrust
into the middle of a conspiracy at the highest and most classified levels of government. With the
help of a feisty Washington reporter (who is also an ex-girlfriend), they must piece together the
pieces of complicated puzzle and race against time to prevent a national crisis.
I would like to request permission to use a photograph that Charlie has of himself and the First
Lady together as background set dressing in Bobby Bishop's office. Charlie's character is that of
a high powered mover and shaker in Washington, D.C. and we want to fill the wall behind his
desk with photos (mostly Charlie's own personal collection) of celebrities. Unfortunately, this
scene shoots this coming Monday, June 12, so we would need to obtain your permission ASAP.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me.
