Dear Ms. Lewis
As we discussed, attached is the picture of Mrs. Clinton and myself
taken during a fund-raiser given by Bill and Maxine Leftwich this past
October. I would very much appreciate having Mrs. Clinton sign the
photo to me as a great memento of my tenure as a Presidential appointee
in the Clinton Administration.
Your assistance is much appreciated.
Sincerely

Dear Alexis:
I met you at the Women's Brunch during Black Caucus weekend.
I have known C. Dolores and Dr. Height for some time.
When we got this picture, I though you might be able to help
us get the First Lady to autograph this for NBA forward, Terry
Cummings. He, like the First Lady, is from Chicago.
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

Washington, D.C. 20500
Dear Ms. Williams:
If you will remember in 1994 we had correspondence regarding
Universal Health Care coverage, and I had suggested that a good
approach would be to urge that the American public receive the
same benefits as Congressmen. Subsequently, whether as the result
of my suggestions or independently arrived at, Mrs. Clinton used
this message, but it was too little, too late. I am therefore
writing to you rather than the President (where my letter will
merely be tabulated by a White House clerk) in the hopes that you
will see that it receives seasoned consideration.
There is much concern outside of Washington that the Presi-
dent, now that he has been re-elected, will become more and more
a captive of the monied interests. There are suggestions that the
C.P.I. should be politically manipulated or that Medicare should
be "means tested, thus creating a class distinction and placing
Medicare in the same class as Medicaid. Whether these are trial
balloons or otherwise is immaterial.
What is clear to me and to many others outside of Washington
is that if the President does not vigorously and openly fight for
Social Security, Medicare and similar programs, the large numbers
of people who voted for the President primarily on the grounds
that he would protect them from corporate and inter-generational
greed will feel betrayed.
To be sure, the President no longer needs their votes, but
it is likely that he will need their support as Congress and the
Special Prosecutor continue with Whitewater, his civil sexual
harassment suit, and similar crusades. If a large number of
voters, and particularly the elderly, feel betrayed they certain-
ly will not support the President in these matters which are now
comparatively trivial and many will support the Republicans as
they seek to crucify the President. Lack of public support, after
all, was what brought Nixon down after Watergate. To put it
another way, without this support, particularly if it turns to
opposition, the Republicans will have a much easier task in
discrediting the President. I hope that this will not happen, but
I see indications that it may be on the way to happening. He must

not even be seen as considering abandoning the voters' reliance
on him to protect them from the "barbarians."
The public (Democrats, Republicans and Independents) are
aware that money talks, that the individual's voice without money
in not often heard, and that we have the best Congress money can
buy. Their hope is that the President will not drop into that
category. Unfortunately, recent revelations have shaken that
hope. If the President were to come out strong for complete
reform of campaign financing, he could overcome present criticism
of him and lay the groundwork to become favorably known in his-
tory. Disraeli, Prime Minister in England, did this when he
cleaned-up the "rotten borough" method of Parliamentary election.
Very sincerely yours,
James R. Christiansen

"three -3- ways President Bill Clinton could inplement
Isiah 58:12: In my opinion"
Dear Mrs. Williams,
I was very proud to see my president Bill Clinton quote from the
Holy King James Bible the most important book in the world.
Step One for Isiah 58:12: Jay Sekulow of American Center of Law and
Justice organization has an excellent method for the implementation of
Isiah 58:12. Do not forget America was founded on Jewish - Christian
Principals.
AMERICAN CENTER LAW JUSTICE
1000 Hurricane Shoals
Building B Suite 900
Lawrenceville, GA. 30243
Step two Isiah 58:12. Help Sudanese African Christian people. Please
work with Dolores Williams, Anita Burson and Laija Eioba of the
American Baptists Association, Bishop Paride Taban of Torit Catholic
Sudan Africa. Please do all you can to help restore Christianity to
Sudan the Original Christian country.
Step Three for Isiah 58:12. Set up an African American shadow cabinet
that gets things DONE. Appoint African Americans like Basil Paterson,
Rev.Leon Sullivan, John H. Johnson, Andrew Young, Percy Sutton, Robert
Johnson, Donald Walker, Earl Graves, Dorothy Heights.
Like Ron Brown, they have roots and will get the job done in African
American Community in a balanced way that will benefit ALL Americans
in the end and send a clear and present message to President Clinton
Black voters that he is serious about their CONCERNS NOW and the
FUTURE.
Future Benefits: President Clinton will have the ground work laid
out for a third try for President or they will vote for Chelsea
Clinton to be the first FEMALE President of America.
Constructively and Informatively Yours in THE SPIRTI OF ISIAH 58:12.
