SUBJECT:
Rwanda
Kathy delastri advises that General Nix is planning to set up
headquarters in Goma, probably in the next couple of days,
and will be available to the press there. There is a PAO on
the scene, operating out of the French press center, and
EUCOM is sending him some help.
General Sheehan, the J3 on the Joint Staff, will be briefing
the press at the Pentagon today.
I have recommended that both Nix and Sheehan brief on a daily
basis.
