Dear President
LETTER OF CONDOLENCE
On behalf of my family, the people and Government of Nigeria, I
wish to extend our sincere condolence to you and the American people on
the sad loss of John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy
and her sister Lauren G. Bessette. The sad news was felt very deeply by
all Nigerians and I might add, by people of goodwill throughout the
world.
I agree with Senator Edward Kennedy that "John was a shinning
light in the life of the nation and of the world". He did touch the lives of
millions of the admirers of the Kennedy family and all those who saw so
much hope and promise in the youngman. It is, therefore, our prayers that
the Almighty God grant the souls of the departed eternal rest. We also
pray that Almighty God give you, the Kennedy family and the American
people the courage and strength to bear this irreparable loss.
Please accept, dear Mr. President, the assurances of my highest
consideration.
