EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
24-Jan-1995 04:18pm
TO:
Janice A. Enright
FROM:
Thomas S. Epstein
Office of Political Affairs
SUBJECT:
Labor Regional Appointments
Janice:
When I was in Denver last week, the state AFL-CIO President,
Robert Greene, complained that we had never filled the regional
Department of Labor representative for the Denver area. I
researched this with Craig Smith and Richard Socarides at Labor
should we
and discovered that three such positions- Dallas, Kansas City, and
Denver--were never filled. Apparently, the reason is a lack of
available positions under the domain of Geri Palast. Shouldn't we
get these slots filled? They can provide useful intelligence and
then Steve
help defuse problematic issues for us in these important regions.
Please advise.
