Thank so much for the kind invitation for Harold Ickes to be your
honored guest at the reception celebrating the publication of
America Preserved: A Check List of Historic Buildings, Structures,
and Sites. Unfortunately, he was traveling last week when our
office received the invitation, and was not able to make
arrangements to attend.
Mr. Ickes would have enjoyed being part of the celebration, and I
am sure he would like to join you for a similar gathering in the
future.
I hope that the reception and the book are both a success.
