The Honorable 1-
DETERMINED TO BE AN ADMINISTRATIVE
United States Senate
Washington, D.C. 20510
MARKING INITIALS: M' DATE: 5/16/23
Dear 2-:
2022-0127-5
2022-
Some of your Democratic colleagues who are not up for election
have indicated that they are helping overcome the problem which
could well cost us a Democratic Senate seat in Wyoming sought by
Kathy Karpan and possibly cost us a Democratic majority in the
Senate. They are trying to make up for much of the up to $400,000
which would have gone to Kathy Karpan's campaign from women's
organizations if her strongly committed pro-choice position fully
matched their criteria.
Some of your colleagues are making significant contributions
from their own campaign fund to Karpan's effort. Some are sending
the attached letter to their women contributors and encouraging
them to contribute directly to the Karpan campaign.
T hope you can join in this important effort. I have known
Kathy and Wyoming politics for over 30 years. She is now three
percent ahead in the polls, and I know that with our help she can
win this seat. With only 228,000 voters in Wyoming, each dollar
you contribute or raise will go a long way toward victory for
Karpan and all of us.
Sincerely,
Andrew E. Manatos
