Dear Mrs. Gore
1 am planning a very exciting event for Tuesday, April 14, 1998.
Several friends and colleagues have asked me to convene a Women's Summit, to be held
at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Our planning committee includes
women from every sector and community, including: architects, educators, doctors,
lawyers, environmentalists, labor, retail, non-profits, bankers, and the high-tech industry.
The Summit will be sponsored by some of the Bay Area's largest and most prestigious
corporations.
On behalf of the City and County of San Francisco, I invite you to join us and deliver the
Opening Keynote Address. In addition, I have also invited Secretary of State Madeline
Albright, Former Texas Governor Ann Richards, Whoopi Goldberg, and Maya Angelou.
I have enclosed additional information on the Summit. My assistant, Carolyn Carpeneti,
will be in touch next week to discuss the Summit in greater detail. With your assistance,
the Women's Summit will be great success.
