Dear Joel:
To acknowledge the dedication and hard work of our AmeriCorps teams in New Jersey, we
are planning to hold a "Day of Achievement" ceremony on Wednesday, July 31. Our four
site managers, Gail Bartok, Kent Hardmeyer, Dan Jones and Janice Reid have done an
excellent job partnering with local environmental and governmental groups to "Get Things
Done" through AmeriCorps in New Jersey.
Next year we plan to continue our AmeriCorps program in two field offices, under Janice
and Dan's leadership. Irene Lieberman will continue as the AmeriCorps director for our
program.
I hope you are able to attend on July 31 and spend some time with our AmeriCorps
members.
Sincerely,
Wayn nf. Man

Dear Joel:
Following are several items of interest:
1. Yesterday we held our AmeriCorps graduation, which we call the "Day of
Achievement." An agenda is enclosed. It was a wonderful day. Letters of recognition
(copies) from Senators Bradley and Lautenberg are enclosed. When I receive copies of
press coverage of the event, I will forward same to you.
2. Kevin Braniff and Brian Carson, both of whom have applied for a second term with
AmeriCorps, have completed their term of service. The AmeriCorps Exit Form is
enclosed for both members. I am sending the National Service End of Term of Service
Form directly to the National Service Trust office, but enclosing a copy for your records.
3. Christine Becker, AmeriCorps member in our Flemington office, has been hired as a
full-time Soil Conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, to begin
when she completes her term of service in September.
Sincerely,
