Clinton President The White House Washington, D.C. 20510 Re: Presidential Emergency Board - American Airlines and Allied Pilots Association Labor Dispute Dear President Clinton: It has coine to my attention that one or more flight attendants employed by American Airlines ("American") and members of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants ("ÀPFA") has initiated a letter-writing campaign to you critioizing your decision to convene a Presidential Emergency Board ("PEB") to help resolve the currem labor dispute between American and the Allied Pilots Association Some or all of those letters may identify the sender as "American Airlines Flight Attendant, Association of Professional Flight Attendants." However, APFA is not endorsing the letter-writing campaign, nor does it necessarily agree with the views expressed by individual APFA members. While we fully respect the right of our members to express their individual views to you. we wish to inform you that the opinions set forth is any letters you receive will be those of individual flight attendants, not of APFA We recognize that your convening of the PEB was a complicated decision We also know that you provided tremendous assistance to APFA when we were on strike against American in November 1993, Your intercession resulted in American's agreeing to resolve our disputes 1004 West Euless Blvd Entersi Texas 76040 "Mail IDITI SAN-NINA Fall: (BIT) 540-2077 From : Cash, Smith & Wages 703-548-0926 Jun. 10. 1988 06:31 PM P03 The Honorable William J.
