PURPOSE To meet with members of the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Commerce and Industry to highlight the legislative and policy priorities of the Administration. II. BACKGROUND The Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Commerce and Industry are the primary trade associations representing the political and policy issues affecting the manufacturing, banking, commercial and service industries in Albuquerque. Members of the Chamber and the Association are in Washington to participate in their annual "Washington Fly-In," a three-day session of meetings and briefings with representatives from the executive and congressional branches. In addition to a full day of briefings hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce, the members have met with Energy Secretary Bill Richardson, US Senators Pete Domenici and Jeff Bingaman and US Representatives Joe Skeen, Heather Wilson and Tom Udall. Wednesday's briefing at the White House is their last stop before returning to New Mexico. III.
