Dear Alexis:
On behalf of the Young Presidents' Organization, and the World Presidents' Organization,
may I thank you for your wonderful hospitality at the White House on Tuesday, April 6,
1993. The presentations by you, Mack, Gene, and the President, were outstanding.
Indeed, you won the hearts of many of my colleagues, and certainly answered all of our
questions.
You are a most articulate and thoughtful spokesman for the Administration. I can
understand why the President has you in such a significant position. I was most impressed
with your wonderful personality, good intellect, and eloquence. I hope this first meeting
between us, and with our group, serves as the basis for future activity bet ween the White
House Office of Public Liaison, and the President. There is a good opportunity for mutual
support.
On a more personal note, I was delighted to meet you. Over the next four weeks, I have
an extended trip to the Middle East; however, when I return, sometime after May 10th, I
should be in Washington again. Is it possible for us to have lunch or dinner around your
schedule. I will call you prior to departing for the Middle East and once again when I
return.
Again, thank you very much for your hospitality and effort on our behalf. I look forward
to seeing you again.
