Dear Ms. Batza,
Thanks so very much for taking time to speak with me today regarding tickets to the White House for
visitors [O our Leadership Conference and Singer's Weckend. Formed in 1983, GALA Choruses is the
international association of the lesbian and gay choral. With 185 member choruses, we represent over
9,500 singers and 750,000 concert patrons each year.
This Labor Day weekend we will host 600 visitors to Washington, DC for our annual leadership conference
and singer's weekend. This four-day event will take place at the Capital Hilton and will include concerts,
workshops, a banquet and other special events. We would be happy to provide your office with
complimentary tickers to the closing night concert, featuring the Lesbian and Gay Chorus of Washington,
the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, and the choruses created for the Singer's Weekend.
It is our hope that you can provide a total of twelve tickers for our VIP guests from our of town, two for
Friday, September 3rd and, ten for Tucsday, September 7th. These tickets will be used for our guests,
including leaders of Festival 2000, our event to be held next year in San Jose, California, featuring 6,000
singers and 110 chorus performances, making it the largest lesbian and gay convention in history.
