Dee Dee Myers THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON November 7, 1994 MEMORANDUM FOR ALL STAFF TRAVELLING TO ASIA FROM: ERSKINE BOWLES SAnle DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF RE: Travel Arrangements The President and First Lady are scheduled to depart for Asia on Friday November 11, 1994. Before you depart, there are a few things you should know. Please read this information carefully. I. DEPARTURE Air Force One will depart Andrews AFB at 11:30 a.m. on Friday November 11, 1994. Marine One will depart from the South Lawn of the White House at 11:10 a.m. White House staff not manifested on Marine One, should plan to depart by bus from the West Basement entrance to the White House at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Staff and guests may drive themselves to Andrews AFB. Those who do should arrive no later than 10:30 a.m. (Note: Non-White House staff must bring their luggage to Andrews and must arrive by 10:00 a.m.) II. BAGGAGE CALLS Baggage call for all White House staff is 8:00 a.m. Friday. All luggage must be properly marked and left outside Room 89 1/2 of the OEOB at or before that time. If you want, luggage can be left outside Room 89 1/2 on Thursday night. Others travelling on Air Force One or the back-up plane should bring their luggage directly to Andrews AFB. Persons bringing luggage to Andrews must arrive no later than 10:00 a.m. In general, luggage will be delivered to your hotel approximately two to three hours after Air Force One arrives. It is strongly recommended that you pack a small carry on bag that will get you through to that time.
