Source Description

The materials in FOIA 2006-0466-F are a selective, not necessarily all inclusive, body of documents responsive to the topic of the FOIA. Researchers should consult the archivist about related materials. Jonathan Prince served in various capacities during the entire two terms of the Clinton Administration. He was one of President Clinton’s speechwriters for a couple of years, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for a brief time, and directed the public relations effort related to the fallout from the bombing of refugees by NATO forces during the war in Kosovo. He currently works in Hillary Clinton’s State Department as an advisor to Special Middle East Envoy George Mitchell. FOIA request 2006-0466-F consists of speech drafts, handwritten notes, memoranda, correspondence, publications, and schedules. Many of the speech drafts contain nothing in the way of comments, additions, or deletions. Prince wrote most of President Clinton’s radio addresses from 1993-1997. He also clearly specialized in dealing with domestic issues such as crime, gun control, unemployment, urban development, and welfare.
