As this ice accumulates in Baffin's
Bay and at the other side of Green-
land and fastens on the solid ma-
terial at the bed of the ocean, and
carries the solid material with it when
it breaks off and floats toward the
Equator or the poles, it is dredging
a deep sea where it was once shallow.
This process is continually going on,
and the wheels of time are rolling on,
and the warm waters of the Gulf
Stream pushing on, and when the
dredging is deep enough so the Gulf
Stream waters can work underneath;
the ice above will give away to their
gentle influence and we will have an
open sea for mariners to sail, to the
North Pole if they so desire. But as
I have told you about the great North
Pole tunnel, you can look out for it.
