WHAT WILL PEARY DO?
O, what will Peary do with the tube?
Will he stow it under his vest,
Come back and throw bouquets at Cook
Along with all the rest?
Will he say: "Why, sure, 'I found it;
Cook beat me to the pole.
My occupation's gone, and now
I'll go to shoveling coal?"
Or aid he take that little tube
To some crevice without bottom,
Drop it in, then dance a jig
And holler: "I have got 'im?"
