Referring to your letter of the 26th
ulto, relative to the deposit to your credit with
the assistant Treasurer of the U.S. at new york
of $4.235 2,7 which you were informed by any
letter of the 16th inst., I have the honor to etate
that upon inquiry at the Treasury Department
ih has been ascestained that the onginal draft
miscarried, and that another has therefore
been issued
