the writer of the enclosed letter, dated april 17. 1875, and who ih is fair to presume, would at any time have sendered him any possible assistance in oftaining his money. It is also singular that his alleged dister Norisa Wells, a Letter from whom is also enclosed, should have been unable for deven years to obtain any information of his where abouts, and from these facto it would deem important that extraordinary care should be observed in determining the soldier is identity, as the party in whose behalf the letter of Mr avery is written may possibly prove to be an imposton.
