Disbursing Office, Freedmen's Branch, A. G.O., Suly nyt1875 Adjustant General U.S.Army Mashington D.C. Sind I have the honor to rufed the enclosed frapers in ihe case of Heenry Davis late foot b. B. 1st Regmt U.S.C. Trwasury Certificate to 620.578. and state that an error has been allowing this claim. From the statement of the man who presented himself compared with the Confidential, it would seend that there must be two persons braing that name who served in The Army, the letter of the b. baing the samu but in different Pregimente. I thin that the mistake has bunn made/sy,comfoun ding the jet Regmt U. which I belinve was , organized at Mashington D.b. with the jet La Nation Guards or yord Rigmt which was organized here
