Sir: Madam:
I have to acknowledge receipt of your communication of the
G Thinstant.
The matter therein referred to will receive attention so soon as the
records, Go., of the late Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and
Abandoned Lands, (transferred to this Office the 30th of June,
1872,) can be arranged.
It is not likely that the arrangement of records will be com=
pleted prior to August 1st proximo.
