Source Description
Henry Clarke Wright writes to William Lloyd Garrison expressing his "deep-felt joy & gratitude" after reading Garrison's latest editorials in the Liberator, calling his views "just & rational." Wright then asks him how he and his wife, Helen, "get along", saying "I feel that I have a right to help you as I may. Your Home is my Home." He offers to lend Garrison any money if he needs it and declares, "My life has so long been blended with the life of you & Helen & your children that to do for your family comfort is to do for myself." Wright also mentions how the lecture tour is "very wearing to physical life" and says that he expects to return to Boston by the end of October.
