Letter from Sarah J. Field, New Bedford, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, [18]52 August 20

Sarah J. Field writes to Samuel May telling him that they have decided "to have a Convention if possible on the last Saturday and Sunday of September." Field requests that Stephen S. Foster, Abby Kelley Foster, Sallie Holley, and William Lloyd Garrison all attend the convention. She insists that "In no place is a convention needed more than here" and she promises to make the arrangements for the convention once May informs her which speakers will attend.
