Source Description
Caroline Bartlett writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to her concern for a misunderstanding regarding the Worcester anti-slavery fair. The sympathizers in Worcester "understood that the friends in Boston would assume all the responsibility, and perform most of the labour." She illustrates the lack of workers by relating how, after inviting some supposedly interested ladies to meet at her house, "not one of them appeared." There is hope of holding a "large and efficient convention here in September."
