Source Description
Susan H. Luther writes to William Lloyd Garrison asking him to fulfill his promise and write letters of introduction for herself and Mary L. Cox "to James Cropper and others in Liverpool and Manchester." She adds that Maria Weston Chapman may agree to write something for them as well, and she praises Chapman's "enfranchised mind," calling her, "a chariot of fire; - and wood, and hay, and stubble, must blaze at her approach." Luther tells Garrison that her and Cox are members of the Free Produce Association and though the Convention has adjourned until next year, they "think it right to be in readiness by the first of next month."
