Samuel May Jr. thanks Wendell Phillips Garrison for sending him Ed Jackson’s note on Francis Jackson’s intention as for the fund he was leaving to the antislavery cause. May also talks about a statement that he has prepared in reply to a charge that May and his associates “‘misdirected’ funds ‘properly belonging to the [American Anti-Slavery Society].”’
