William Lloyd Garrison finds it "difficult to realize" that Fanny Garrison Villard will turn 32 years old tomorrow. Garrison hopes she has "many happy returns of the day!" Garrison sends two photographic cards of, "unquestionably, the two smallest specimens of living human beings, considering their ages, to be found in the entire population of the globe." The children in the photographs consist of a twelve year old boy who weighs nine pounds and a little girl who weighs five pounds. The children are "now on exhibition in Horticultural Hall, and of course attract many visitors." Francis Jackson Garrison and Mrs. William Lloyd Garrison Jr. heard Madame Essipoff's [i.e. Anna Nikolaevna Esipova] concert at Music Hall. William L. Garrison is unable to attend Horace Cheney's funeral due to having a "violent attack of influenza."
