Simeon Smith Jocelyn writes to Amos A. Phelps, on behalf of Mr. Joseph Johnson of Williamsburg, who is obliged to leave his pariah because he votes and preaches against slavery. Jocelyn inquires about the possibility of Johnson's obtaining a position as a city missionary.
